Philanthropy
Highlights from Wu's history in community service include mentoring and tutoring middle school students from low-income households in underserved Los Angeles communities (Director of Mentee Relations, Bruin Partners); helping attorneys provide free legal aid to low-income families in Boston (Intern, Volunteer Lawyers Project); organizing grassroots campaigns to empower young disadvantaged voters in D.C. (Intern, Rock the Vote); and providing crisis intervention support to victims of domestic violence (Volunteer Victims' Advocate, 180 Turning Lives Around in partnership with local police).

Wu also founded and chaired Leaders for Philanthropy, a student-led organization at the University at Buffalo School of Law. Guided by the belief that meaningful change is best achieved through collective action, the organization cultivates partnerships that strengthen the well-being of communities near and far. Members advocate for a wide range of causes and are especially intent on collaborating with those who have a demonstrated commitment to social responsibility and inclusion. Under Wu's direction, Leaders for Philanthropy raised $4,627 for Special Olympics New York at the 2025 Buffalo Polar Plunge. All proceeds directly benefited programs aimed at empowering children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
