Philanthropy
There is value in doing well. There is more value in doing good.

Highlights from Wu's history in community service include: mentoring and tutoring middle school students from low-income households in underserved Los Angeles communities (Director of Mentee Relations, Bruin Partners); helping attorneys provide free legal aid to low-income families in Boston (Intern, Volunteer Lawyers Project); organizing grassroots campaigns to empower young disadvantaged voters in D.C. (Intern, Rock the Vote); and providing crisis intervention support to victims of domestic violence (Volunteer Victims' Advocate, 180 Turning Lives Around in partnership with local police).

Currently, Wu chairs Leaders for Philanthropy, a student-led organization at the University at Buffalo School of Law. The organization partners with scholars and nonprofits to explore the relationship between law and society's most pressing problems. The organization also raises funds for local charities by participating in marathons and other community events. Guided by the belief that meaningful change is best achieved through collective action, Leaders for Philanthropy cultivates diverse partnerships to strengthen the well-being of communities near and far.
